Adopting a rescued animal brings many rewards, saves a life, and opens up space for another animal in need. However, animal adoption is something that should be considered carefully and is NOT always the BEST choice for everyone. What most people do not realize when they see their cute little kitten they are about to take home is that most likely that little life was in pretty bad shape when it arrived . Countless hours given by unpaid volunteers were probably necessary to nurse that little one back to health. We do NOT have the perfect animal here at GTAS and many of them may require additional care whether behavioral or medical care. Rescued animals do NOT come with a guarantee and medical expenses are a very real possibility. While we appreciate you considering one of our rescued animals we want to make sure that you understand and consider all the possibilities before adopting.
